Project overview
The primary objective of this project is to understand how the practices of coffee farmers contribute to forest conservation and climate sustainability. By analyzing data from coffee farmers' databases and their production processes, we seek to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for enhancing sustainability within the coffee industry.
Problem statement
The coffee industry faces a pressing challenge: ensuring the preservation of coffee production for the next 50 years while maintaining a sustainable ecosystem. This project aims to address this challenge by analyzing the role of coffee farmers' practices in conserving forests and mitigating climate change.
Solution
To address the challenge of preserving coffee production while ensuring a sustainable ecosystem, we propose the development of a dashboard application. This application will serve as a centralized platform for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing sustainability efforts within the coffee community.

User Persona
Why this persona? The principal user who will be responsible for the land labour is the local farmer. This persona needs tools for improving the sustainability practices of the local coffee farm, ensuring the bean's quality and thinking in the coffee preservations for the next generations.
Information architecture
Gathering important information from user needs, I designed a dashboard prototype aimed at covering the most important activities on a farm with a dynamic approach. Based on this, I built the following skeleton

How is this information synthesized in the creation of the application?
Local farmers need to produce coffee in minimal dimensions compare to the big industry but they have been to generate an impactful changing in the land which it should be monitoring for preserve the crop for the future. Developing a dashboard where farmer can management their resources from sustainability practices could be an important tool for growing their business up and making a balance between consume vs eco-practices.

Considering the user needs gathered from the interviews to refine the application, how can this prototype be improved?
We began by mapping out the user flow and analyzing task-based interactions. Based on this analysis, we identified a need for additional features and action buttons within the dashboard. Ensuring the structure is intuitive and navigable is crucial to prevent users from logging out of the web application prematurely
What have I learnt from this project?
From this project, I can learn to identify usability and performance issues and understand the most valuable features and data points for users. Additionally, the prototype will highlight areas for design improvement, customization needs, and potential technical challenges. This iterative process will guide the development of a more user-friendly and effective final product.
